A guide to creating journey times matrices using the TravelTime plugin for QGIS
If you haven't already installed the TravelTime plugin for QGIS, you can get a free trial API key and download the plugin here
The TravelTime plugin for QGIS comes with a range of options for creating origin-destination matrices by journey time (sometimes called distance matrices) as well as for filtering points based on travel time:
- Quick Time Filter - filters a selected layer of points based on travel time to/from a single origin with minimal parameter configuration, and calculates the travel time to all reachable points
- Time Filter Simple - calculates the travel times between a layer of origins and a layer of destinations with minimal parameter configuration
- Time Filter Advanced - calculates the travel times between a layer of origins and a layer of destinations, allowing full configuration of all parameters
